710EGCG™ green tea, the first bottled tea with an FDA health claim label and brewed to the NCI specification - Now available on-line

Dr. Lee’s TeaForHealth® announced today that the commercial production of the Dr. Lee’s 710EGCG™ Natural Green Tea inabottle™ is now ready to meet the market demand for quality green tea beverage. This bottled green tea has been certified to contain at least 710 mcg/ml (-) epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the NCI-recommended anticancer level of antioxidants, which is 34 times that in Snapple® and 56 times that in SoBe® bottled green teas.

In a pre-conference publication for the quadrennial International Union Against Cancer (UICC) World Congress entitled “Green Tea as Medicine to Fight Cancer”, Sin Hang Lee, M.D., a cancer pathologist and founder of Dr. Lee’s TeaForHealth®, pointed out to health care professionals the importance of the dosage of active ingredients in green tea drinks when the tea is used as a medicinal beverage. The theme of the World Congress, scheduled to meet in Washington, D.C., in July 2006, is transforming knowledge into action against cancer. Dr. Lee’s TeaForHealth® has put the NCI recommendation into practice in providing a medicinal grade of green tea to health-conscious consumers.
